Angela is a native of South Carolina and a 2001 graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she stayed on at UGA to complete a residency in anatomic pathology as well as a PhD. Her PhD project focused on West Nile virus in wild birds and she necropsied hundreds of birds of prey as part of the project. Specialities include wildlife and exotic pathology and ocular pathology. Angela joined the Antech team in March 2015 following almost 10 years of diagnostic experience at the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Georgia where she focused on ocular pathology. She is currently the head of Antech’s Ocular Pathology Specialty Group and is based in beautiful Portland, Maine.
When she is not working, Angela enjoys hiking, kayaking, jigsaw puzzles, good books, and playing with her dog.
