Description:
In this case-based session, attendees will receive practical tips to optimize their gastrointestinal (GI) parasite prevention for dogs and cats. Speakers will summarize key clinical findings and management strategies (diagnosis, therapy, prevention, surveillance) related to endoparasites (GI worms) in dogs and cats from their unique perspectives/education/experiences. Discussion will include common and emerging concerns as related to GI parasites, and easily accessible expert- and evidenced-based resources to assist with client communication on pet concerns and One Health issues (zoonotic, environmental, antimicrobial stewardship).
